On October 28, 1945, Grand Duke Jean took his solemn oath as scout in front of more than 5,000 scouts at the Stade de Luxembourg-Ville. To commemorate the event and its 70th anniversary, he received the commissioners general of the Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten (LGS) and of the Fédération Nationale des Eclaireurs et Eclaireuses du Luxembourg (FNEL) at the Château de Fischbach.
