Hereditary Prince Celebrates 20 Years of EEA

Twenty years ago, on May 1, 1995, Liechtenstein entered the European Economic Area, or EEA. Today, Hereditary Prince Alois (and, as it turns out, his uncle Prince Nikolaus) were on hand for the jubilee celebrations in Vaduz. In case you aren't up to the workings of all those European institutions: The EEA forms a single market for the free movement of persons, goods, services and capital through three of the four member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway - and all 28 member states of the European Union (EU).
