Party at the Castle

You know you live in a seriously small country when your acting head of state invites all citizens reaching the age of 18 during a year for a reception to his castle... On Saturday, it was time for Liechtenstein's grand annual Jungbürgerfeier, which literally translates to young citizens celebration. (You might remember that there already was such a celebration on the muncipality-level earlier this year.) To kick off the party, the young Liechtensteiner were invited for a reception to the Schloss where they could meet, greet, mingle, chat, have a drink and their picture taken with Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie. It seems that the couple's own son Prince Wenzel who also turned 18 this year wasn't among the guests.  To be honest though, the actual party did not take place at the castle but at some other venue. You can find more pictures of the event at Vaterland.

Yesterday, the Princess Marie was in Ruggell to participate in the 60th anniversary celebrations of the LBV, the Liechtenstein federation of disabled people during which she gave a speech. For a picture, have a look at Volksblatt.
