Meanwhile in Liechtenstein and Brazil

While we were focusing on what was happening with the Grand Ducal Family (Wedding, anyone?), there were a few things going on with the Princely Family during the last few days that we missed. Time to catch up!

On Monday evening, Princess Marie attended an award ceremony by the Donum Vogt Stiftung, a foundation that supports organisations involved in projects for children and young people. For a few years now they have given awards to especially deserved causes. This year's main prize went to the children's home Gamander that is run by the Liechtenstein Red Cross of which the Princess is the president. Two visuals are located at Volksblatt and Vaterland.

Yesterday, Hereditary Prince Alois welcomed four new ambassadors to the Principality. Lars Vissing of Denmark, Boro Bronza of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wilhelm-Otto Lampe of Germany and Beatriz Londono Soto of Colombia presented their credentials to the Hereditary Prince at the Schloss.

Also yesterday, Prince Constantin landed in Porto Alegre, the capital and largest city in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, to witness the start of constructions for a new RiceTec research institution in nearby Santa Maria. RiceTec is one of the many companies owned by the Princely Family and the third son of Prince Hans-Adam II is on the administrative board of the "technology-based seed enterprise that produces and markets high-quality hybrid rice products". Two - admittedly not very expressive as they could have been taken anywhere - pictures of Prince Constantin in Brazil can be found one the websites of Planeta Arroz and Jornal do Comércio.
