A New Wine Estate for Prince Robert

The Grand Duke's cousin Prince Robert, owner of the Domaine Clarence Dillon, has added a new wine estate to his company's portfolio, namely the Château L'Arrosée in St-Émilion. (Never heard of him? Check out our 101 about Prince Robert, his Family and Wines.)

After the purchase of the Domaine Allary Haut Brion bordering the family's traditional Château Haut-Brion possession last year and the Château Quintus in 2011, it is the third major addition to the Domaine in recent years. The newly purchased Château L'Arrosée actually borders the Quintus estates, formerly known as Château Tertre Daugay. While the contracts between its former owners and Prince Robert was signed on 29 May, the purchase will be completed in September.
